Overview
Dhulikhel tour offers you a wonderful mixture of culture, nature and will make you feel entering a different world. Dhulikhel is a small city few hours away from the busy capital city. Despite its stature and size it houses diverse population with ethnic groups. It has been the centuries old trade center for Nepal to Tibet and within the country, back then.
The main attraction of the city is its spectacular view of snow-capped mountain ranges. You can have the wonderful experience driving through the rim of the valley. Walking through the city you can see that the city is planned based on the ancient Hindu structure positioning, shapes and scales reflecting in the distance and dominance between buildings, temples, public squares all having their own meaning and harmony.
There is much history in Dhulikel and, among others, a short visit to Namobuddha, with the Buddhist stupa and monastery, is highly recommended. There is also Panauti, a village noted for its numerous temples with magnificent woodcarvings, is a short distance from Dhulikhel, which is well worth a visit.
Kathmandu and Dhulikhel are similar in the sense of their structure and city system. You can either mix the visit to Dhulikhel tour with Kathmandu City tour to examine the resemblance or adjoin with Bhaktpur tour (which is on the way to Dhulikhel) to observe the differences and similarities between the two.
